I cannot believe the Old Red Schoolhouse looked this boring. It was built in 1852. I was disappointed that it was all shuttered up.

Back when I visited Atlanta, my friend MaryAnn took me to this fabulous historic cemetery (Oakland Cemetery), where we strolled, and had a marvelous time admiring the various statuary. I have been saving these for Halloween, not that they are scary, it just seems to be the best time to post them. Also, [...]

I pass a church on my way to one of our local environmental labs on occassion, but I am always caught without a camera. Well the other day, I was not on my way to the lab, rather I was stuck in traffic and one of my alternate routes could take me right past said [...]

I can hardly believe that I’m actually writing an entry about this.
We went to see said movie Saturday night at the Tivoli Theatre in the Delmar Loop. I had never had the occassion to visit the Tivoli, and when I did, I was awestruck with the meticulous restoration job that was achieved. There are painted [...]

Dip-it Thursdays is a Flickr group that I have been a part of for quite sometime, but never submitted to it. It’s one of those themed groups and this week was “Words, Words, Words” and the “dip-it” refers to creating a diptych piece.
The place is Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. It is strangely difficult [...]

I liked the affect of looking down the lower spiral, all the way through 4 benches, but cannot come up with a catchy title for anything tonight (Tuesday night when I wrote this). I also enjoy how the Art Museum looms out of focus in the background.

This is a courtyard across from the Eagleton Federal Building in downtown St. Louis, viewed from the roof of a nearby building (I have a cool job, don’t I?!). I enjoy how the lines meander rather than getting you to the destination along the quickest path…the designer wanted you to slow down and notice the [...]

This creeped me out a bit…it’s as though the house has found a way to tell me “STAY OUT!”
